Cadence Low-Cost Classroom Teaching Licences
EUROPRACTICE Cadence Classroom Teaching licences are intended for institutes to do mass class teaching of their students, in cases where they have too few regular EUROPRACTICE non-commercial research and training license seats for that purpose.
The Classroom Teaching licences will be subject to all the usage restrictions of the regular EUROPRACTICE Cadence licences but, in addition, no research use of any sort will be allowed. The Classroom Teaching licences must also be located on a separate license server from the regular EUROPRACTICE Cadence licences.
An application for access to low-cost Classroom Teaching licences requires an initial proposal and renewals require a successful yearly report. Access to Classroom Teaching licences is at the discretion of Cadence, after considering these documents.
The following Cadence Classroom Teaching licences are available:
IC Package
Systems Package
Combined (IC and Systems) Package
PCB Studio Package
In order to be eligible for consideration for Classroom Teaching licences, institutes must have 1 or more regular EUROPRACTICE licences under maintenance for the appropriate Package, e.g:
| Classroom Package | Eligibility Maintenance |
| IC Package | IC or Combined Package |
| Systems Package | Systems or Combined Package |
| Combined Package | Combined Package |
| PCB Studio Package | PCB Studio Package |
Cadence Classroom Teaching licences are free of licence charge, but are subject to the following maintenance supplements:
IC, Systems or Combined Package Classroom Teaching licences:
First bundle of 10 Classroom Teaching licences
520 Euro per 1 October to 30 September session *1
Second bundle of N Classroom Teaching licences
520 Euro per 1 October to 30 September session *2
PCB Studio Package Classroom Teaching licences:
First bundle of 10 Classroom Teaching licences
260 Euro per 1 October to 30 September session *1
Second bundle of N Classroom Teaching licences
260 Euro per 1 October to 30 September session *2
*1 - Institutes with 1 or more regular EUROPRACTICE Cadence licences are eligible for consideration for the first bundle of 10 Classroom Teaching licences
*2 - To be eligible for consideration for the second bundle of N (the number of additional Classroom Teaching licences required in excess of 10), institutes are required to have an appropriate number of regular EUROPRACTICE Cadence licences. For example, institutes with only a small number of regular EUROPRACTICE Cadence licences are not eligible to request a large number of Classroom Teaching licences.
